Old Sealer Stripping

Stripping failed paver sealer is the process of removing old, deteriorated, or improperly applied sealer from the surface of brick, concrete, or stone pavers. Over time, low-quality or incorrectly applied sealers can turn white, hazy, blotchy, or peel, trapping moisture beneath the surface and leaving the pavers looking dull or damaged.

The stripping process involves applying a specialized sealer-removal solution that breaks down the old coating, allowing it to be lifted from the surface. The softened sealer is then carefully scrubbed and pressure-rinsed away to expose the clean, natural paver surface underneath. Because failed sealers often bond unevenly or in multiple layers, several applications of stripper may be required to fully restore the pavers.

Once the failed coating is completely removed and the surface has dried, the pavers can be resealed with a high-quality, breathable sealer to protect them from stains, UV fading, and weather damage—leaving a uniform finish and enhancing the natural color of the stone.
